Know Your Farmer Alliance - Big Island Hawai`i

Welcome to our web site!

volcano KYFA logoKnow Your Farmer Alliance

(KYFA) is a grassroots educational and activist group of farmers, gardeners and others interested in ecological food production and local self-sufficiency on Hawai'i Island. We hope to promote natural growing practices throughout the island by lectures, seed exchanges, workshops, farm tours, demonstrations, meetings, networking and our own seasonal newsletters.

We know that a strong community

is as self-sufficient as possible and cares for its land and people with a passion. Pure, fresh, local and naturally grown food is our birthright and our vision. There is much to learn from each other and all are welcome.

Our events

are open to the public and often have a minimal cost.  To view a complete description of the event select the event on the calendar "upcoming events".

Our web site

is new and more information will be added over time. Please stay tuned as we develop this resource.
